Through media involvement we are seeking local sponsors to allow us to gift individuals sponsored library membership for 12 months. Our target is to provide at least 25 sponsored places in the first year and expand on this in the future.
Founded in 1810, by the city luminaries, the Plymouth Proprietary Library is one of Plymouth's oldest institutions. It is located just 15 minutes walk from the railway station and is on a regular bus route from the city centre. The Library, now a registered charity, houses some of the oldest and rarest books in Devon and also includes one of the largest collections of local history and maritime books in Plymouth as well as strong holdings in crime and modern fiction.
More information about sponsorship PPL and what we offer can be found here.
